Steve Ledbetter

Where are you from originally and where do you currently reside?
I’m from Brownstown and now Vandalia. I’ve lived in the Brownstown/Vandalia area all of my life except college.

What is your title?

What are your hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy hunting, deer, turkey, ducks, geese, pheasant, and quail.

I also enjoy spending time with my family doing just about anything. We attend a lot of sports, band, and other school activities.

I really enjoy school soccer, baseball, basketball, softball, and volleyball.

Are you married? If so to whom? Tell us about your family.
Yes. My beautiful wife Lisha and I have been married for over 22 ½ years. We have two amazing children. Our son Colin, is a 17 year old senior at VHS and we are excited to be looking at colleges with him. Our daughter is 12 and a 6th grader at VJHS and we are looking forward to her teen years.

What do you like best about working for Hosick Motors?
I enjoy the freedom to help people. My goal is to help everyone find a great vehicle now, but also to make sure they become a Hosick Fan for life. That’s easy to do with all of the great support from the rest of the Hosick Team. It’s amazing to see how many people will not think of going anywhere else because of the great service they’ve received.

What employee has had the largest impact on your career at Hosick Motors?
Everyone helps, but the service department really takes care of people. I would say it’s Rich and the guys in service.

If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I like the mountains. The Rockies or Canadian Rockies with my family. Maybe a fly-in hunt/fish trip in Alaska, I don’t think Lisha would be quite as excited about that.

What is the first vehicle you ever owned?
1979 Camaro Berlinetta

What motivates you?
I enjoy helping people.

What is your most memorable experience at Hosick Motors?
Probably the first customer I helped find a vehicle. He traded his truck for a new GMC Terrain as a surprise for his fiancé. They were both very excited.

How long have you been with Hosick Motors?
Three months.

Explain, in your words, what you do on a daily basis?
I help people find vehicles that fit their life. It’s really as simple as listening to what they say. I ask questions that help me find the answers. If we have the vehicle I show the customer and demonstrate the features. My job is to help them find out what they like or might want to add to the vehicle. If we don’t have a vehicle that fits I will find it for them. That involves researching what’s available and getting it to the customer.

I also follow up with customers to make certain they love their new vehicle. I’m the primary contact for my customers if they need anything. I want them to know they can call me anytime and I’ll help them. Anything auto related. If I don’t know the answer, I refer them to someone at Hosick’s who does.

To shorten that, I listen to people and help them.

If Bryan Hosick were to walk in and say you can take any new vehicle that we sell, what would it be?
Probably a RAM Truck or Jeep Wrangler. There are a lot of great vehicles at Hosick’s but these two fit my life.
