The second round of our Hosick Motors Staff Spotlight series, features one of the members of the Hosick Motors Sales Team, Bryan Hobbie.

Where are you from originally and where do you currently reside?
Born and raised in Vandalia. In the country 6 miles north of town.

What is your title?
Sales Consultant

What are your hobbies outside of work?
I’m an avid bowhunter.  Whitetails are my main quarry however I have started to dive more into Rocky Mountain elk.  I recently took a trip to the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming to hunt elk and am in the process of planning a trip to Montana for 2014.  In the summer I play A LOT of fastpitch softball.  I play on our Hosick Motors City League team over in Altamont, Donnewald Distributing out of Effingham, but do most of my bigger tournaments with the BlackHawk Athletic Club out of Rockford, IL.  Those are my two major warm weather- cold weather activities.  I squeeze in things like golf, waterskiing, snowskiing etc when time allows.

Are you married?  Tell us about your family.
I am not!  Which explains how I am able to spend as much time traveling pursuing my hobbies as I do!

What employee has had the largest impact on your career at Hosick Motors?To this point, I would say my former sales manager, Jason Knight

If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Anywhere in the Caribbean.  No question.

What is the first vehicle you ever owned?
My first car was a 1998 black ford mustang but technically my parents owned it.  The first vehicle I ever owned myself was a 1996 GMC Sierra

What motivates you?
Having the resources to travel in pursuit of the things that I love to do

What is your most memorable experience at Hosick Motors?
Putting together our fastpitch softball team consisting of a lot of our employees

How long have you been with Hosick Motors?
Since August of 2010 (3+ years)

Explain, in your words, what you do on a daily basis?
I get to my desk, follow up with my customers, set appointments to meet with said customers, look for cars that fit customers criteria, check in with sold customers to make sure all is well, take hours and hours of Chrysler and GM online training, and pray that my hairline quits receding…..
