That’s right RAM trucks have done it again!

Don’t know if you have heard but the 2014 Ram 1500 will have an available 3.0L Eco-Tech Diesel engine. This will be the first time in decades a half ton truck has been produced with a diesel. The new diesel is a V6 that produces 240 horsepower and a robust 430 lbs-ft of torque. That means this Diesel engine actually produces more pulling power then the Ram 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi V8. Max tow capacity is rated at 9,200 lbs.

Official fuel mileage is not out yet but Ram says the 1500 Eco-Diesel will best the Ram’s V6 model’s that already boast a best-in-class fuel economy of 18 and 25. The word on the street is 20 mpg in town and 28 mpg on the highway in the new Eco-Diesel. These trucks will start production before the end of the 2013 calendar year.

The new RAM Diesel engine will be an additional cost of ONLY about $2500-$2800. If you have any interest please feel free to shoot me an email at bmajor@hosicks.com or call me at 217-652-9572. Thanks for reading and see you soon!!!
